So, I recently moved from Tennessee to Pennsylvania. Ok, it's really been about 6 months. But I digress.

The drivers are overall BETTER here, yes, even the ones from New Jersey.

However, EVERYONE feels the need to tailgate.

SO!

Dear Moron in the LARGE Benz:

Your are in a large, heavy ass car. I am in a small, light little sports car. Do not try to out run me. I was not going to let your ass over JUST becasue your car costs 4 times as much as mine. That doesn't mean you own the road, it just means you are a dick. A dick who has too much money and is probably compensating for a small penis.

Little Korean cars, ftw, bitch.

Okay. I am sick and tired of people running into me. I've had one moron pull out in front of me and another, that was following too closely, rear-end me. This second wreck has left me in constant pain every day. Also, the driver and vehicle were uninsured, so I have a lot of money tied up. And I could really use that money.

Tailgating is the biggest thing that pisses me off and I will repeated this fact OFTEN.

Do you remember, from driver's ed (if you took it) the two second rule.

Not two car lengths, after about 50-60 mph you're too close. Two seconds. This means that, at any give speed, the nose of your car should be two seconds away from the car in front of you. This is to provide REACTION TIME and STOPPING TIME should the person ahead of you have to break suddenly.

Most cars today can easily stop in a short distance. Note the word "cars". If you are in a van, truck, or SUV, you will need more time and should be more than two seconds back. If you are TOWING you'll need even more time.

If you are, as I saw yesterday, in an RV, bus, or tractor-trailer and are tailgating the person in front of you so much they can't be seen, then you're a moron and shouldn't be allowed to DRIVE.

The larger the vehicle, the more time you need to stop, simple as that. Any science course should have taught you that heavier things have more momentum.
